It's On in Coolamon Shire this Autumn!

21 Feb 2016 12:24 PM -

Can you believe it's Autumn already!

If it feels like you only took down the Christmas decorations yesterday, you're not the only one! In just a few days it will be Autumn, our beautiful Shire will begin turning golden orange and red as the leaves change colour, and we launch into a fantastic new season of events.

It all kicks off on Saturday 5th of March with the Coolamon Bottle and Collectables Annual Fair. Held at the Up-to-date Store, it's well worth a sticky beak to step back in time and see a range of antique bottles and collectables, some worth up to $2,000.

On Saturday 19th of March it's a double whammy. Pop into the Ganmain Historical Society Open Day in the morning and then get dolled up for a fun filled afternoon at the Ardlethan Picnic Races.

But don't stay out too late. The Ian Lucas Memorial Bike & Hike is on bright and early Sunday 20th March with a 25km return ride from Grong Grong to Matong in memory of Ian Lucas.

If you love a community market, head along to the Coolamon Rotary Easter Markets and Up2Date Art Battle on Saturday 26th March, the Swap Meet and Market Day at Coolamon Showground on Sunday 17th April and the Ganmain Mother's Day Market on Saturday 7th May.

The second annual Ardlethan Country Music Festival & Talent Quest is on Friday 22nd - Sunday 24th April, with the ANZAC Day Race Meeting Carnival of Cups in Coolamon on Monday the 25th April.

Treat Mum to a day out at the races for the Mother's Day Harness Race Meeting in Coolamon on Sunday 8th May. Plus make sure you join the Rotarian Action Group for Endangered Species for a fundraising event on Saturday 14th May.
