Coolamon's Cowabbie Street will come alive this October long weekend for the annual Coolamon Scarecrow Festival!

There will be prizes for the best scarecrows, beards and moustaches, helicopter rides, entertainment by Southern Cross Performing Arts and, Jarrod Sherman & Rick Jenkins with "Play it Cool" band, plenty of activities for the kids, 60+ street stalls and more!

With great prizes on offer for the Best Handmade Scarecrow ($300 - $200), Best Live Scarecrow ($200 - $100), and the Most Creative Kids Scarecrow ($150 - $50), now is the time to start putting together your scarecrow or better yet, your scarecrow costume.

Boys, there will also be prizes for the Best Beard ($200 - $100) and Best Moustache ($200 - $100) - fun for all of the family!

From 11.30am the Official Opening of the Coolamon Fire Museum will take place.

Guest Judge: Mrs Kaye Hull MP

A major raffle with 10 prizes will be draw on the day with all proceeds going to the Coolamon Mens Shed.
